The only Filipino music video that made me cry… Its technical aspect could have been better but the the raw simplicity of its story line and the narrator’s old world voice made the music video a must-see.
This is Rosalia Lombardo. She died of pneumonia in 1920 at the young age of only 2. Apart from her paper-like skin, Rosalia looks as if she is only sleeping. She is remarkably preserved. Some believe her “eternal life” was due to a special embalming process done at the time. Although we may never be certain, for her body is unable to leave her small casket. So, for now, she will remain a pretty girl in a glass case in Italy. (Some people are saying France now. But I heard Italy.)
